Behaviour Consultation
Equine behavioural problems are often very complex, and thus require thorough investigation in order to build a robust behaviour modification plan that addresses the root causes of the issue. Consultations include:
Introductory phone call - to establish if this is the right service for you and your equine, and to discuss the basic aspects of the behavioural problem.
Veterinary referral - I will contact your vet to obtain a referral. Behavioural problems are often linked to physical health, so it’s very important to keep your vet in the loop and work together to rule out pain and medical conditions as a cause before commencing with behaviour modification.
Information gathering - I will ask you lots of questions to learn as much as I can about your equine’s history, current environment, training, behaviour, health, etc.
Home visit - I will visit you and your equine at home and observe you together. Where appropriate I will assess the behaviour practically and trial management and training modifications.
Case Report - I will write a report on the assessments conducted, my analysis of the problem and my recommendations.
Behaviour Modification Plan - Specific training/shaping plans, as well as management plans for you to follow.
Email/text support - I can offer guidance and advice over the phone for up to 6 months following the consultation so that you feel completely supported while following the behaviour modification plan.

Advice Calls
Sometimes you don’t want a full consultation or coaching session, you just have a few questions that you want to ask a professional. The equestrian world can be full of pressure, with everybody having strong opinions on what you should or shouldn’t do. I can’t solve all of your problems with a phone call, but I can listen to you without judgement and chat through any difficulties relating to your equine’s behaviour with you. If you want to call and ask for some advice about a problem you are experiencing, simply drop me an email at info@cmequine.co.uk or fill in my contact form.
Pricing
30-Minute Call - £10
60-Minute Call - £20
